Coconut Spice Mouthwash for Gum Health - Oil-Pulling Mouth Cleanser for Healthy Gums.

Oil Pulling with Organic Coconut Oil dramatically improves gum health. Oil Pulling is an ancient ayurvedic practice popular across Asia, with a growing following in the West - because it works! Oil Pulling has been scientifically proven to effectively kill the pathogens that cause gum disease, bad breath and cavities. The oil is able to reach into every crevice that brushing and flossing cannot reach.

Banana Hands Organic Coconut Oilis sourced from a community development project in the Solomon Islands and is the best quality available - Certified Organic, Raw, Hand-Pressed and naturally high in Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs). MCTs have proven anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties for combating bacteria and plaque, preventing cavities, improving mouth tissue health and freshening breath.

Organic Coconut Oil reduces oral bacteria that lead to cavities and gum disease. Myrrh increases blood flow to mouth tissue. Cinnamon is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and antiseptic, which makes it an effective cleanser for every oral health care need. Ginger neutralises acids formed by bacteria. Coconut Spice Mouthwash for Gum Health protects gums, can prevent receding gums, and nourishes mouth tissue.

The spicy flavours of Banana Hands Coconut Spice Mouthwash for Gum Health give the added advantage of leaving breath swelling spicy and sweet.

HOW TO OIL-PULL

After brushing teeth, place 5 or 10ml (one teaspoon or dessert spoon) of Coconut Spice Mouthwash for Gum Health in your mouth and swish and swirl around, sucking in and out of teeth where brushing can't reach. Commence with 1 minute and work up to 15 minutes. Do not swallow the oil or spit it down the sink. Spit out in the bin or in the garden. Oil-Pulling seems strange at first but because your mouth feels so great after and your breath stays sweet, oil-pulling very quickly becomes addictive!

We can't show you her face, but this family dentist says everyone in the family should use mouthwash and that Coconut Spice Mouthwash for Gum Health is really good. :)

Ginger contains raffinose and gingerol, two compounds that have been shown to help temporarily reduce inflammation and pain. The compounds in ginger can also help reduce the oral bacteria that lead to cavities and to gum disease, making it a generally effective ally to your oral health regimen. Ginger root helps fight gum disease by neutralizing acids formed by bacteria. As a powerful anti-inflammatory, ginger can also help protect against periodontal diseases that cause the loss of supportive connective tissue and bone in the mouth.

Myrrh is antimicrobial and may also soothe and heal gums by increasing blood flow to the tissue.

Cinnamon is antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic – which makes it an effective cleanser for every oral health care need, such as relief for a sore throat. Cinnamon oil also contains strong anti-microbial properties that protect against the bacteria that cause tooth decay.

Why else should we use Coconut Spice Mouthwash for Gum Health ?

Aside from the proven benefits of oil pulling, every purchase you make with Banana Hands will assist in our Banana Hands Clean Oceans Project as we continue to remove plastic from our polluted oceans.

The Evidence We Rely On:

Banana Hands' Cold-Pressed Extra-Virgin, Hand-Pressed Coconut Oil is exceptionally high in Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs). This is great news because MCTs are proven to work as a natural anti-bacterial, killing disease-causing bacteria, fungi, viruses and protozoa. The MCTs found in our certified organic, cold-pressed coconut oil attack Streptococcus Mutans bacteria which cause cavities. MCTs also reduce inflammation and are a tissue healer when applied topically, stimulating the recovery of cells from infection.

In comparison, other coconut oils are heated to exceptionally high degrees to extract 100% of the oil in the coconuts. The coconut oil we use in all Banana Hands products uses the first 70% of the oil cold-extracted because that is the best, the very best, part - and we are all about offering the very best to our families.

A recent academic review found that oil pulling might be as effective as chlorhexidine mouthwash in reducing plaque. Click here for the full article.

Streptococcus mutans is one of the main bacteria in your mouth and a key player in plaque build-up and tooth decay. One study with 60 adults showed that oil pulling with coconut oil every day significantly reduced the number of S. mutans in saliva in as little as two weeks, compared to distilled water.
